What is World Breastfeeding Week?

World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is celebrated every year from August 1st to 7th in over 120 countries around the world. Established in 1992 by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), it's become the largest global campaign for breastfeeding awareness.

The week aims to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding, normalize nursing in public and private spaces, and create stronger support systems for breastfeeding mothers everywhere.
